What is waste water?

This is the water that exits your drains and ends up in the sewerage system. It includes normal kitchen sink waste, toilet waste and sewage, and clean rainwater drainage.

You don't require special consents for the removal and treatment of waste water. Waste water services are billed as standard alongside your water charges.

Waste water does not include liquid waste discharged from industrial production – this is trade effluent and discharging it requires trade effluent consent.
